Lincoln National Park - September & again in November 2010

On our way to Perth, trust this fellow, our hotel driver did not drain the KEG!

Put it to good use anyway.
Visiting Carol & Jim in Hidden Valley - Yallingup.
Sue's long hair before I chopped it off (at Sue's request)

Now what could they possibly put in there?
Adelaide airport, these crates went in there!
But what's in the crates? you may ask!
- Live Goat's.
Of course you knew that!

Helping our brother Neil pour concrete to his shed, Ashley on the barrow!

Where's is, checking our GPS is on track!

Storm brewing, and dumped several buckets off our annexe

Got within 5 mtrs of this fellow

Out walking and checking out all the wild flowers

Bush biking, and Neil has ended up with 3 lengths of mooring rope all about 30'

Now that's interesting - Lincoln National Park - Gazetted in August 1941
Beach EMU's
Native in our Annexe

Early morning obstacle course, just as well the rope was handy

Early morning - Snapper fishing with Neil & Teresa

Sun rise from Ashley's place

& sunset from our place in Lincoln National Park

Friendly locals

Good size snook, near the Brothers

It's sure calm, no we are not on the rocks, high tide floating the sea weed

Smoked 'SNOOK' = Yum!

Nearly to good to eat - King George Whiting, with all the trimmings!

Calm and cool

One of the days the sun's out, no jumper required

Parent's and 6 chicks out for a stroll past our camp

The sunsets are magic

Mum and chick heading home!

Waiting for her driver!

New fabricated shade for BBQ, we can only use it in less windy locations.

Not many folks visit or drive into our camp site which is off the tourist loop, with an un-graded track. If folks do drive in and stop and actually get out of their vehicle, we will have a chat. 1-1/2hrs later over hot drinks and banana fruit cake, Bruce & Sue Cunningham depart. As it happens Bruce & Sue  also 'BUSHTRACKER' owners on their shake down trip to Perth, thus we had plenty of stuff to share.

Meanwhile we are off to Port Lincoln foreshore for the Thai Loy Kratong gathering!
Now what's this Thai lass got to do with us in PORT LINCOLN!

Now who would have consider Port Lincoln would have a Loy Kratong festive?
A Thai water blessing. Good crowd attended.

An every changing sky line

White Shadow in flight
Finally got onto some KGW, ended up with the Trudgen's in Perth. The KGW had been very scarce and we were eating them and fast as we could clean them

This fellow got lucky and had KGW frames for dinner

Then we had surprise - Dolphin, shark, no it's a Minke Whale came over to check us out, hung around for about 10 minutes.

White Shadow got a feed - BUT!

He and his mate got real friendly around our camp!

Technology - been hanging out for some thing suitable. This weather station has a solar cell on the transmitter sensor thus powering the battery good for 3 years.  The advert and photo's claims wireless. Well it is to the read out station up to 50 mtr's, how ever the connections between units are obviuosly not wireless

Any way it works great - 1514hrs (day light saving time) indoor temp 20.8, wind chill 8.4 degrees, and wind gusting at 58.7kph

More walks and biking to cold and windy to FISH!
Yeah! we are fair weather fisher person's

Our neighbours compute daily into Lincoln to work at the 'MUSSEL' factory.

More biking and getting fitter by the day!

Early morning on Boston Bay - Snapper fishing with Neil & Teresa.
No snapper but - 7 squid and we were all well INKED!

Packing and off on holidays to Perth and Thailand.
